We’re celebrating National Day with our brand film, “The Making of a 5G Nation”, which showcases the people and technology behind the National Day Parade (NDP)! This year’s NDP is particularly significant as it comes after a two-year hiatus and will be the first fully 5G-enabled parade – powered by Singtel 5G. The film captures our efforts to wire up the celebrations since the 1960s, through the early days of 3G to a fully 5G nation today. Narrated by Singtel’s Group Chief Technology Officer Mr Mark Chong, the film illustrates how Singtel’s telecoms infrastructure and engineering expertise have been vital to the staging of the iconic event and shines the spotlight on our planners and engineers for whom setting up the Marina Bay floating platform with 5G is a mission they are immensely proud to undertake.
